Monitoring of concrete segregation using AC impedance spectroscopy

چکیده
Segregation is one of the major phenomena decreasing durability concrete and increasing its risk failure. This paper investigates feasibility AC Impedance Spectroscopy (ACIS) to serve as a monitoring technique for segregation during compaction. The impedances fresh were determined between compaction intervals. Changes in calculated bulk resistivities compared hardened densities drilled cores, well aggregate obtained via digital image analysis sections. During process, significant difference resistivity was observed top bottom parts segregated specimens comparison unsegregated specimens. By inspecting relationship measurement methods, it found that ACIS provides reliable approach (r=-0.948) estimating level cases where mostly affected by movement aggregates.

A biological microelectromechanical system (BioMEMS) device was designed to study complementary mitochondrial parameters important in mitochondrial dysfunction studies. Mitochondrial dysfunction has been linked to many diseases, including diabetes, obesity, heart failure and aging, as these organelles play a critical role in energy generation, cell signaling and apoptosis. The synthesis of ATP ...
متن کاملComplex impedance spectroscopy for monitoring tissue responses
A series of animal experiments was conducted to characterize changes in the complex impedance of chronically implanted electrodes in neural tissue. Consistent trends in impedance changes were observed across all animals, characterized as a general increase in the measured impedance magnitude at 1 kHz. Impedance changes reach a peak approximately 7 days post-implant. Reactive responses around in...
متن کاملUsing Impedance Spectroscopy to Assess the Viability of the Rapid Chloride Test for Determining Concrete Conductivity
The suitability of using the initial current from the rapid chloride test (ASTM C 1202) to determine specimen conductivity is tested using impedance spectroscopy with a frequency spectrum of 10 Hz to 1 MHz. The specimen conductivity has an analytical relationship to specimen diffusivity and so is a useful quantity in service life prediction. Measurements made on specimens of different lengths i...
